ABOUT
DENISE
After 77 years on this planet, I have amassed a treasure trove of how to’s for our journey of self-discovery. Before the Covid epidemic, my precious Mother made her transition at the extraordinary age of 101. For nine years it had been my full-time job to care for her while she was in a nursing home. Of all the opportunities I’ve had in my life, it was by far the most precious of them all.
My original intention was to help my age group (baby boomers) navigate that complicated journey while at the same time helping them increase their sense of self-esteem; however, with the current times, I have shifted my intention somewhat.
In this challenging world, it seems like people are more stressed out than ever before. We’re all struggling to stay in the moment and find joy and inner peace. I have concluded that the two most important aspects of creating a joyous life are based on one’s amount of self-esteem and one’s ability to stay in the moment. There have been many books written on these subjects. Some of my all-time favorite authors write about them.
The light bulb moment for me was when I realized I don’t have to choose one topic over the other or one specific age group because we’re all in this together. Self-esteem and the ability to be fully present in the moment go hand in hand at any age. Being joyfully present in the moment requires a certain amount of self-esteem, self-confidence and of course being comfortable in one’s own skin.
I’ve been on this planet for 77 years, a seeker since my teens, and I’m a perpetual student in the University of Life. I have a tool box filled with techniques and tips that continue to help me be a person whose glass is always half full no matter what.
To make a difference in someone’s life you don’t have to be brilliant or perfect. You just have to care. I hear you. I see you. My intention is to share all my wisdom with you!
